Doing the heading

Walter Van Beirendronk´s F/W 10.11 is a crazy mixture of Disney, Tim Burton and a light take on big boy ammunitions. I love the bright solid colors which remind me a lot of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (yes, of the infamous Bruno encounter) but of a tamer version.

What did my heading with this collection are the giant hats the models had to painfully wear throughout the show. Weird , odd and fabulously eye catching and then it came to me: these past few months since Lady Gaga sported her wacky oversized lip wig in her video Bad Romance, some weird force in the universe tells me that there is a conspiracy theory regarding big hair, big head and big head accessory. Something tells me the start of the year will be all about the head. Well, I am not complaining.

Take a look at Mr. Beirendronk's fantastic collection:

Equestrian you said, Mr. Galliano? Here’s equestrian for you in XXL.

Among us mortals, Tavi the genius behind StyleRookie is putting her feet head ahead of fashion by wearing this on the front seat of the Dior show in Paris:

Tavi's hat caused a little bit of commotion in twitter but c'mon people spare the kid.  She's just what..14...16?  And it's fun!  I actually love it. I'm sure, Uncle john (Galliano) will agree that it was a fab head gear, no?

With the world of print on the other hand, Vogue Paris has “headed” to the beautiful Morocco to create this wonderful special reportage.

From models.com:
Vogue Paris goes to Morocco with a special series starring Dree Hemingway, Lara Stone and Freja Beha Erichsen as a trio of stylish travelers. Styled by Carine Roitfeld and photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the story is an especially chic variation on the tried and true travel editorial.

It might have taken the stylist the whole day to tease those hair and I am digging it. Some hint of Amy Winehouse clones running wild in the morroccan desert but that’s okay. At least we don’t see any needles or syringe stuck into their toes. Instead, the iconic Alexander McQueen shoes is omnipresent and some leather fetish action under the blazing 45º sun. And of course, the gigantic bandanas and fine crocodile babies in the form of bags.

I’m quite intrigued though. Morocco is one of the best producers of leather goods in the world. If these women would want to impress the crowd with their five-thousand-pounds-a piece-bag, they will be slightly disappointed as the country is full of them. Also, this is one country where you can buy close-to-the-real- thing, class A, replica bags so theirs would go on unnoticeable and would even look ordinary.

Oh well, I wonder what’s behind those oversized scarf though. Maybe this?

Don’t mess with Wilhelmina.

With these gowns, I take thee...

Eric Blasberg is one of our favorite fashion writers and we can't get enough of  his tweets either!  Approximately 11 hours ago, he twitted his lovely shot of Abbey Lee and Baptiste at Chanel's couture show in Paris.

Although we can't see much the details of the wedding gown, I'm sure this is Uncle's Karl dream gown if and when he walks down that isle with the beautiful Baptiste.  (Well, why not?  I'm sure if you are Karl lagerfeld, nothing is impossible.) We can't wait to see the official press photos flooding the internet anytime soon and we are looking forward to see Baptiste looking immaculately handsome...without the high heels and the crazy leather accoutrements this time.

Speaking of wedding gowns, Pronovias´ 2010 collection is a must see ( or wear) for all of you out there who are planning to get tied up anytime this year.

Aside from their signature line, Pronovias is joined by three powerhouse designers to bring out such a breathtaking and highly dramatic creations--Manuel Mota, Valentino Sposa and the fabulous Ellie Saab.

Here are my favorites:

Manuel Mota is all about romance

Highly dramatic pieces from Ellie Saab

Pronovias as you may know by now is Spain's premier wedding gown brand and now available in many parts of the world. Luxury bridal dresses fit for a girl's most special day.

I am still dreaming to wear one of these someday. Only problem is, I still yet to find the groom.

Besos!
